WEDNESDAY  UPDATE:  Better Rain Chances Ahead

Good Morning!  There will be a generous supply of random storms, over the next few days and that could lower the extreme heat just a notch. Radar will be very colorful and active again today. The best rain probabilities of the week will be Thursday through Sunday.  Showers and storms will become much more numerous, thanks to a frontal system that will approach the state and then stall right in our neighborhood for a few days. This is certainly good news as Drought Conditions continue over much of our state.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY: Sun/cloud mix. High near 96.  Excessive Triple Digit Heat Indies.  Scattered random hit or miss storms, especially afternoon and evening. Low tonight 75.

Again today a generous Spotty Random PM storms will populate the radar. Yesterday the airport had only .27, but you could have had a lot more at your house.  I had .60” in East Montgomery.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Expect scattered to numerous random, pop-up,“hit or miss” storms to increase in number for the next several day through at least Sunday. Showers and storms will become much more numerous, thanks to a frontal system that will approach the state and then in our neighborhood, Thursday through the weekend. That will be the focus.  The increase of showers and storms will help lower highs just a notch to lower 90’s Thursday through Monday

I don’t like showing the QPF Rainfall outlook in the summer, because rainfall amounts are so variable from town to town,  But, you get the idea.  Right in the middle of a Drought, take a look at the potential rainfall as random storms become much more numerous over the next several days.

FRONTAL RELIEF.  Fronts will  act as a focus for increased daily storms.

BEACH OUTLOOK:   Storms will be random, but in generous supply each day.  Be flexible with your plans,  Highs in the upper 80’s.  Gulf water 88.  WATCH THE FLAGS ON THE BEACH for dangerous rip currents.

Thanks for reading the blog. There will be another complete Blog update and video forecast discussion tomorrow morning.  This morning, everything is normal including LIVE on the Radio from 6 to 9AM on NewsTalk 93.1 – WACV.  Have a nice day!!
