WEEKEND UPDATE:  Busy Radar Today – Crazy Humid

Good  Morning!  Yesterday was different than the prior days.  Radar was strangely quiet, as far as the number of storms.  MGM had a high of 93, anr with the increased sun, with a Heat Index made it to 103.  Today, I’ve got us at about 92 for a high with a much busier radar later this afternoon and this evening.  Showers and storms will continue random, but scattered to numerous for the next few days especially in the afternoon and evening at least through the upcoming for the next few days.  Highs will continue in the upper 80’s to lower 90’s. Meanwhile, there’s a new area to watch in the Atlantic.

TODAY: Partial sunshine. High near 92. The humidity will be off the scale.  Afternoon dewpoints 73 to 76 and triple digit heat index.  Random but scattered to numerous “hit or miss” storms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Low tonight 73.

FUTURE RADAR:  Today will be much more active with storms becoming more numerous again.  Here’s a couple of hi-res model examples.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Showers and storms will continue random, but scattered to numerous, especially in the afternoon and evening at least through the upcoming early next week  , Highs will mostly be in the upper 80’s to near 90.  Lows at night in the lower 70’s.

BEACH OUTLOOK:   Expect a better than normal rain coverage through the weekend, but certainly not a washout by any means.  Moderate Rip current risk.  Yellow flags. Highs in the upper 80’s.  Gulf water temperature is 88.

TROPICS WAKING UP?:  So, we now have a New Area to Watch in the tropical Atlantic.  A tropical Wave interacting with a disturbance will need to be watch as it moves in the general direction of the Bahamas over the next several days..

The EURO model, out 10 days gives this system a decent chance of tropical development.  Stay tuned.

Possible Future Tracks of this system. Interesting.

Thanks for reading the blog.  I’m on the road this weekend.  It’s a landmark Class Reunion benchmark tonight. Today’s  update is coming to you  from the shores of Lake Erie from a historic AirBnB, built in 1876.  The home of Captain Bell, a Great Lake Captain, in Vermillion, Ohio, roughly 35 miles west of Cleveland.

Sunrise this morning. With a crisp 54 degrees.

We had a meet a greet last night.  Tonight is the Reunion. Sunday is the Day After Picnic in beautiful Huron, Ohio on the Lake, with the famous Cedar Point visible, 11 miles on the horizon .

The weather is pristine here this weekend with highs in the 70’s yesterday, low humidity and a nice breeze off the Lake.

My next scheduled Blog update and Video from Ohio will be on Monday Morning.  Have a great weekend!
