WATCHING GULF TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT

There is increasing interest in future tropical development in the Western Gulf. Invest 91-L is very disorganized now, but by mid-week is could become a Depression or Tropical Storm Francine as it migrates northward. This system could have a significant impact on Alabama’s late week weather as copious amounts of tropical moisture spreads eastward. Stay tuned

This could potentially bring us some benefcial late week rainfall.

Some models bring 91-L to Tropical storm status by mid week. The next name is Francine.

The models seem to indicate that this system will affect the Texas or Louisiana Gulf coast and then bend eastward across the Gulf states.
