MONDAY  UPDATE: Warmup Underway – Storm-free & Dry

Good morning!  We have a nice warm-up underway.  The nights and mornings are still chilly, but the afternoon’s continue to get warmer,  On Sunday we had 80 degrees at MGM.  We’ll be in the low 80’s today and Tuesday and mid 80’s by Wednesday.  Meanwhile, our storm-free, dry pattern will continue for several more days.  In the tropics, Oscar is now the only player.  It made a second landfall in Cuba yesterday.  Now a Tropical Storm, it’s expected to curve into the Atlantic.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.    

TODAY:  Sunshine.  The warm-up continues   High 82.  East wind 5 to 10 mph.  Clear still chilly tonight, but not quite as cool.  Low 51.  

Yesterday’s low was 44 and the high was 80.  (Normal hi/Lo 79/53)  Rainfall for the month of October: .02”.   Deficit for the month: -1.86.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   It’s a dry forecast for several more days. The Warm-up continues. We’re in the lower 80’s again on Tuesday and mid 80’s on Wednesday and Thursday. (Normal 79/53) We’ll be 80+ through the upcoming weekend

The drought continues to expand and it’s a dry forecast for the next 7 to 10 days.
