Check out the incredible contrast on this map. This is highs today. Cold in the west, the Midwest, the Plains, the Great Lakes… But near record warmth from Texas to much of New England!
The GFS 16 day temperature guidance shows warm air locked in for several days, followed by a downward plunge in the last week of January.
