SOME UPDATES:
7:10AM Local metro county EMA’s have declared a “civil emergency”. Do not attempt to travel unless it’s an emergency. There have been reports of vehicles sliding off roadways. Traffic cameras show ice on the I-85/I-65 interchange in Montgomery.
Travel is a very bad idea early Wednesday. Roads will be difficult if not impossible to navigate. With temperatures below freezing most of the day, there will be icy spots throughout the day

The snow has now left the state but we have a very windy/cold/raw winter’s day in progress:
Stay off the roads. They are impassable and dangerous from overnight snowfall. The snow, which is still occurring as I make this will exit later this morning. Dangerous wind chills this morning. Precip. should be out of the state by Noon..then winy and cold. High may not make it past freezing.
