Good Morning! Active weather day ahead for Alabama as a westward moving Tropical Wave causes numerous showers and storms. It’s the first of two waves which will affect our forecast on this Holiday week. I’ll break down the day to day details for here in the coast. Is there anything else in the tropics we need to watch? An Easterly Wave moving westward along the northern Gulf coast will spark scattered to numerous storms across our area today, especially in the afternoon and evening.
We will be dodging a lot of raindrops from time to time during the 4th of July holiday week. Smallest rain chance in on Tuesday, as we will be between two disturbances. Rain chances pick up again on the 4th of July and Thursday.
Can’t sugarcoat the beach forecast. Rain chances are certainly in the higher than normal range through much of the holiday week. Moderate Rip Current Risk continues.
The Euro model, highlights an area to watch in the tropical Atlantic, where a Depression or Tropical storm could form in the next 4 to 5 days.
