Good Morning! The news is good for today and the week ahead. Two words. Warming trend. Major warming trend.
Frankly, yesterday’s high temperature over performed. We got to 68°, which is warmer than I thought. In the week ahead we’ll warm through the 70’s to near 80 by Thursday & Friday. Not only that. The best news is, we will storm-free through Friday at least. That’s an amazing string of days in a month which typically features a lot of severe weather.
…In the upper atmosphere, a large ridge of high pressure builds this week. That spells a large scale warming trend and a storm-free pattern.
TODAY: This morning is cold. Some towns will end up in the mid 30’s. (Normal low 47, normal high 67) The chill will fade quickly. Abundant sunshine. High in the upper 60’s. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Cold again tonight. Low 37°.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Major warming. Lower 70’s Monday and Tuesday. Near or above 80 by Thursday and Friday. Storm-free.
A major warming trend will dominate much of the eastern half of the nation.
Here’s a peek at the next 10 days. No chilly air.
Next Storm System: Starting next weekend, we will start to evolve into a more active pattern. We could see a couple of storm systems within 4 days.
I hope you have a chance to enjoy this beautiful Sunday. I’ll have a complete video update tomorrow morning.
