WEEKEND UPDATE: Beautiful Sunday – Very Warm and Dry

Good Morning!   The news continues to be good. We’ve had a nice weekend so far.  It was a perfect Friday & Saturday. Today, Sunday will be epic.  Look for a warming trend, with low humidity.

Interesting pattern in the week ahead.  As you will see on this Blog, states to the west of us will see flooding week.  But, High pressure may act as a protective dome to keep most of the rain and storms to the west of us.  I have now removed the rain chance for the week ahead.  Meanwhile, it’s going to start feeling summer-like with highs in the upper 80’s and higher humidity.

TODAY:  Mostly sunny and warmer.  Great day.  High 85.  Low Sunday night 60.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Dry and warm Sunday and Monday. I have taken the f widely scattered showers Tuesday & Wednesday. The week ahead now looks warm & Dry. .  Meanwhile, it’s going to start feeling summer-like with highs in the upper 80’s and higher humidity.  Get ready.

But, High pressure may act as a protective dome to keep most of the rain and storms to the west of us.  I have lowered the rain chance for the week ahead. Flooding rains west of the Mississippi river…but rainfall across the SE US will be slim and none with a protective high pressure dome overhead.

BEACH FORECAST:  Nice forecast on the coast through Monday.  Highs in the 70’s.  Gulf water temperature is 74.  Moderate rip current risk Saturday and Sunday.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK:   Here’s something new.  National Hurricane Center, today, has started to issue the tropical weather outlook for the Atlantic basin.  The official start of the season is June 1st, but last year we had the A and B storm in May and the C storm on the 1st of June.  Activity is starting earlier.

If your name on this list?   Here’s the main hurricane list for this season.

SPACE STATION FLYOVER TONIGHT:   Great Space station flyover Sunday night.  Watch the southwest sky at 8:26 PM.  Moving SW to NE.  Bright!

Have a nice Sunday!   ‘ll had a complete update for you in the morning. Still trying to get over the effects of the 2nd COVID shot. Saturday was terrible. Very sick. This morning I’m about 70% better.
