Good Morning! If you liked the weather Sunday, you’ll love today. We’re bettering a thousand on Spring weather so far. But, there is a price to be paid. A rather ominous, large storm system will approach tomorrow. Associated with this storm, a rather significant severe weather threat will swing across the Plains states today, and through the Gulf States Tuesday and Wednesday. All modes of severe weather are on the table, including tornadoes. On this video, I have the updated threat levels from SPC and we’ll start to talk about a potential timeline.
A major system will bring another severe weather threat to Alabama by Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. The Severe Threat will be strongest in Alabama’s western counties, where there is a Level 3 Enhanced Risk. But, all of us are in the Severe Risk area. All modes of severe weather are on the table including tornadoes.
Severe Threat Tuesday and Tuesday night. Cooler Wednesday through Saturday. But, storm-free.
Significant rainfall amounts are possible especially in west and NW Alabama.
The pollen count remains quite high through Wednesday.
