TUESDAY Update: July Warmth – Spotty Random Storms

Good morning!  No surprises today.  Just a text-book, standard June day.  Lower 90’s.  Isolated random storms.  Storms today will be few and far between. Expect more scattered hit or miss storms Wednesday.  The best chance of rain will be Thursday, as a backdoor front edges into the area.  Somewhat drier air arrives on Friday.  Saturday will be hotter, but probably dry.  Scattered storms return Sunday as another front approaches. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

CLIMATE DATA:  Yesterday’s morning low was a cool 66 at MGM.  Afternoon high was 89.  Normal hi/lo:  90 and 67.  No rain at the airport.

TODAY:  Mostly sunny. Hot again .  High 90-92.  Widely scattered, random showers & storms, especially afternoon & evening, fading out at night. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.   Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 69.

Here’s a Future Radar example early this evening. Very routine.  Widely Scattered (Isolated) Random storms.  Not many.

TROPICAL UPDATE:   There’s only one lonely Area to Watch near the Azores in the eastern Atlantic with a 10% chance of development.

.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    Expect more scattered hit or miss storms Wednesday.  Best chance of rain will be Thursday as a backdoor front edges into the area.  Somewhat drier air arrives on Friday.  Saturday will be hotter, but probably dry.  Scattered storms return Sunday as another front approaches.
