TUESDAY Update:  Abundant Sunshine – Milder Temperatures – Dry through Friday

Good Morning!  Our big improvement continues today. It should be a great Tuesday.  With plenty of sunshine, today’s high will reach near 64. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 60’s.   Expect low to mid 60’s by Thursday, and near 70 Friday.   Spotty showers arrive Friday night.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms become more likely Saturday and Sunday. Right now it does not look severe.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  We’ll be dry through at least through Friday night. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 60’s.   Expect the low to mid 60’s by Thursday, and near 70 Friday.   Spotty showers arrive Friday night.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms become more likely Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s the 10 day Model Blend Temperature trend.  No Arctic Air right away.

Way out – in the last half of February and first half of March, much of the country could experience a very impressive Arctic Invasion. I can’t give you any kind of start date. But, the model clues continue to pile up, much like they did weeks before out Mid-January Arctic Crash. Below you’ll see examples of the EURO upper air pattern on February 16.  Plus, the expected mean upper pattern mid February to mid March.  And, the expected temperature anomaly from mid February to mid March.  Stay tuned.  We’re watching.  It could be quite a cold end game for winter.

SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK:  This is Severe Weather Awareness Week! Why now vs. during the spring? It’s about being proactive! We can have severe weather any time of the year but our guard increases further heading into spring. Follow us along each day this week. Make sure you are informed and prepared!   I’ll be speaking to a group of folks in Abbeville, at their new Science Museum,  about Severe Weather this evening.  Abbeville had an EF-1 tornado last June 14th that did a lot of damage.  Tornadoes can happen any month of the year.

Thanks for reading the blog. There will be another complete Blog update and video forecast discussion tomorrow morning.  This morning, everything is normal including LIVE on the Radio from 6 to 9AM on NewsTalk 93.1 – WACV.  Have a great day.
