Showers Return Tonight – Next Arctic Front Delayed – Temperature Plunge 8-9 Days Away

Good Morning!   Enjoy what should be a very mild day today.  Weather changes ahead.  Showers return tonight.  Most of the weekend ahead will be dry.  The coldest artic air so far this season enters the US this weekend.  BUT, the core of the arctic air may take another 8-9 Days before it overspreads Alabama.  On this video, we’ll track the Arctic Advance.  When does it arrive, and how cold?

Today we’re back to the 60’s Rain moves in tonight.

Rain moves in after midnight and continues through Friday morning. Drier Friday afternoon.

Small rain chance Saturday and Saturday night. Dry and mild Sunday. Warmer Monday and Tuesday.

The Arctic air which enters the US this weekend, will take several days until it reaches the Deep South. Perhaps 8-9 days away. The Valentines weekend looks COLD. Coldest of the Winter so far.

Here’s a look at the temperature crash on the Euro and GFS models. Don’t take the actual numbers literally. Hut, you can see it will be quite an Arctic plunge.
