SUNDAY Update:   Nice Holiday Weekend Continues – Isolated Shower?

Good morning!   It’s been a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend for us here in Alabama.  Meanwhile, a major coastal storm is ruining vacations along the Carolina coast.  The large circulation around that storm could potentially bring us an isolated shower late today or tonight, but the rain chance is very small.  Memorial day will simply be ideal, for here and the Gulf coast Beaches.  Sunshine.  Warm.  Dry.  Comfortable.  Upper 80’s return on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Showers and storms return Wednesday & Thursday.

TODAY:  Mostly sunny & nice.   High 82.  Northeast wind 6 to 15 mph.  An isolated shower is possible by late afternoon and tonight.  Rain chance would be 20% at best.  Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 60.

A Future Radar snapshot at 8:00 PM.  You can see the extremely isolated nature of the potential showers this evening.

NEXT FEW DAYS:     Memorial day Monday will simply be nearly perfect.  Sunshine.  Warm.  Dry.  Comfortable. Monday’s high 84. Upper 80’s return on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Showers and storms return Wednesday & Thursday.

We are in a good place for a very nice Memorial Day Monday.  The weather along the US east coast continues awful.

BEACH FORECAST:  It has been a simply ideal Memorial Day Weekend.  Sunshine will be abundant through Wednesday.  Highs in the lower 80’s.  Low at night in the 60’s.  Comfortable humidity. Showers and thunderstorms return Thursday and Friday.   Moderate Rip Current Risk.  Yellow flags.

STRONG COASTAL STORM:   A developing strong coastal low continues to move northward near the Carolinas over the weekend.  Probably it will not have any tropical characteristics.    Regardless, this coastal low will ruin many vacations for thousands of families along the Georgia and especially Carolina coasts.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice day!
