Good Morning! It’s been one month since the last significant rain. Overnight many areas finally got some rain. At my house in East Montgomery: .80” so far. Scattered rain, “on and off” is in the forecast for today, tonight and at least the first half of the day tomorrow. Expect a rather cool Veterans Day weekend. Sunday we may not make it out of the 60’s. After a brief break in the rain, Sunday PM and Monday. There’s more rain in our future starting Monday night. We could see excessive rainfall totals, Wait till you see the map below. Looks like a soaker next week, especially Tuesday & Wednesday. And maybe some thunder and lightning, too. I am not expecting severe weather this week. (possibly Thanksgiving week, through)

A Series of Disturbances are moving along a front in the northern Gulf. That’s why were WET.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Risk of rain continues through mid day Sunday. After a brief break in the rain, Sunday PM and Monday. There’s more rain in our future starting Monday night. We could see excessive rainfall totals especially Tuesday & Wednesday. Could be some thunderstorms too. Looks like a “SOAKER” next week. You’ll see the expected rainfall map below. Wow.
Take a look at the expected rainfall through next Thursday. Some very excessive amounts are possible. Truly a soaker. Most of the rain will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The GFS and EURO models continue to hint at a potential “big deal” storm system Thanksgiving week. Could be a Severe Weather Threat. I would not be surprised.
TROPICAL: That Area to Watch (low pressure) in the Caribbean is going to be very interesting to watch over the next several days as it slowly develops and then grows stronger and begins to move northeast.
